Dr. Susan Apold

Susan Apold, Ph.D., RN, ANP- BC, GNP, FAAN, FAANP, is an alumna of the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship Program; former President of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Nurse Practitioner Association New York State; and Founder and Project Director of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners Leadership Development Program. She has numerous publications, and speaks nationally on a wide variety of nursing issues. Dr. Apold is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and recently completed post-graduate work for certification as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Apold was previously with Concordia College from 2008 to 2014. She was Founding Dean of the college’s Division of Nursing and Health Studies, then took on oversight of Social Work and Health Studies as Dean of the Division of Health and Human Services. She earned her BS in Nursing from Holy Family University, her MS in Nursing from The University of Pennsylvania, and her Doctorate in Nursing from Adelphi University.
