Neil Tarangioli

Head Coach, Tennis

At the helm of the Clippers' men’s program since 1980 and women’s program since 2011, Coach Tarangioli has won over 500 matches. He has led the team to nineteen appearances in the NCAA National Championship. Tarangioli has been selected Coach of the Year in the NYCAC/ECC/CACC a combined seventeen times. He has also been honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as the Division II Eastern Region Coach of the Year in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2018. At the same time he’s creating winning tennis teams, Tarangioli manages the College Racquet Club, housed on Concordia’s campus. On the volunteer front, he has been a 20+ year member of the U.S. Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and was selected Member of the Year in 1996. In 2012 the USPTA honored him with the College Coach of the Year award for the Eastern region. He has served on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Ranking Committee for six terms while serving as Chairman four times. Coach Tarangioli has a degree in history from Fordham University, where he played varsity tennis and squash and was captain of both teams in his senior year. In 2018, Dr. John A. Nunes, President of Concordia College New York, presented him with an engraved crystal honoring his extraordinary contributions to Concordia Clippers Tennis over 37 years.
