Dr. Mandana Nakhai

Dr. Mandana Nakhai is the Dean of Concordia College New York’s School of Humanities, Dean of Fellows, and Distinguished Professor of English. On January 18, 2019, she was inaugurated into the College's first endowed chair: the Rev. Dr. Thomas Nelson Green Endowed Chair for the School of Humanities. Since 1987, Dean Nakhai has served Concordia College in teaching and administrative experiences at various levels. With expertise in college composition as well as literature and critical theory, Dr. Nakhai has taught an array of courses in the College’s English program. She pioneered the establishment of Concordia’s Writing Center and Writing Across the Curriculum program in 1989. Dr. Nakhai holds a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.
