Biology

Designed for students interested in the fields of biological life and environmental science, the Biology program at Concordia opens the path to lifelong careers for future ecologists, environmentalists, pharmacologists, doctors and nurses, public health officials, physical therapists and more.

Students can broaden their Biology curriculum through courses in Chemistry and Physics along with the close tutelage of our distinguished faculty. Small lecture and laboratory classes provide personal attention and guidance through lab experiences and research problem resolution.

Concordia also offers a partnership with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). In addition to being the nation’s largest medical college, LECOM is the only Academic Health Center in the osteopathic profession.  This program gives students the opportunity to complete their Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Concordia College with early acceptance to LECOM’s Osteopathic Medicine, Dental, or Pharmacy doctoral degree programs. (Interested future first-year applicants with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 and test scores of 1170 SAT/26 ACT are encouraged to apply through Concordia. The application process includes interviews with both colleges.)
