Since 2008, Concordia College has chosen a college theme for the school year. This year, Borders and Boundaries will challenge Concordia students to reflect on timely issues and shifting paradigms around the world's borders and boundaries - both physical and virtual - in this century of global connectivity. Borders and Boundaries will encompass a broad range of perspectives within and across disparate topics including geography, history, culture, gender, class, race, ethnicity, religion, sociology and politics. Using an interdisciplinary approach, students, faculty, staff and the greater community will have opportunities to explore the theme through literature, discussion, wide-ranging events, guest presentations, and the visual and performing arts.
