Concordia Graduate Education Students Give Back

For the second year, graduate education students studying at Concordia’s CITE partner site in Brooklyn have turned out to support Literacy Fiesta, a project designed by special education professor Dr. Paulett Hanson-Kenwood. The students contribute books and other school supplies, then spend a day engaging families in the community through storytelling, writing, arts and crafts, and social and emotional literacy projects, culminating with an opportunity to “shop” for donated books and school supplies.
