Rev. Dr. John A. Nunes

Concordia College's 9th President

Ordained LCMS Minister

Installed as President in 2016

His life before Concordia:  Dr. Nunes comes to Concordia from Valparaiso University, where he served as the Emil and Elfriede Jochum Chair. Prior to his time at Valparaiso, Nunes was President and Chief Executive Officer of Lutheran World Relief (LWR), Baltimore, from 2007 to 2013.

Bronxville is a picturesque suburban village in Westchester County, just 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of New York City. Peaceful and safe, Bronxville and its neighboring towns create an ideal setting for academic success.

Students can walk to a wide variety of restaurants, gourmet food and coffee shops, a movie theater, retail stores and commuter train stations. Hop on the train to Grand Central, and you’ll be in New York City in a quick 40 minutes! It’s the best of both worlds.
