Krenz Academic Center Naming Opportunities
Created in newly-constructed and remodeled space on the second floor of Concordia’s Scheele Memorial Library, the beautiful, new 12,000-square-foot Academic Center is a campus showplace, offering sophisticated instructional facilities and other amenities, which can be named in honor or memory of those designated by generous donors.
Conference Room Contribution Level: $100,000
This 600 square-foot multi-media conference room is used for regularly scheduled meetings and seminars (up to 20 people) and is available for community use.
Media Center Contribution Level: $500,000
A production studio and control room with professional-quality sound, lighting, and video recording, editing and post-production equipment, the Media Center is the centerpiece of a new Communications Major. It enables students to develop expertise in studio and single-camera production, video aesthetics and design. Also be available for local high school classes and community cable committee use.
Technology Center Contribution Level: $250,000
A new up-to-date computer teaching lab for 20 students offers instruction in keyboarding, computer applications, software, data and word processing, PowerPoint, website development, and desktop publishing. The Technology Center also includes the upgraded Information Services Department, which provides technical support for the entire Academic Center complex.
Reading Lounge Contribution Level: $100,000
A comfortable, inviting reading area for students and faculty, with laptop Internet access, the Lounge also serves--in conjunction with the adjacent Concordia Gallery, main corridor, and small meeting room--as an ideal setting for community receptions.
Lecture Hall – Smart Classroom Contribution Level: $150,000
This 48-seat multipurpose “smart” classroom provides 850 square feet of multi-media teaching space, equipped with instructor’s module, desktop and laptop computer connections, ceiling-mounted projector and projection screen, VCR and DVD players and embedded speakers. It is linked to the College’s website, internal education courseware, and local area computer network.

Auditorium Underwritten by Jack and Roberta Pietruski
A spacious corner classroom with tiered seating and desks for up to 75 students, this “smart” auditorium-style lecture hall is equipped with state-of-the-art multi-media equipment similar to that in the Lecture Hall.
Concordia Gallery Contribution Level: Underwritten by the OSilas Foundation
This 1,740 square-foot Gallery overlooking the campus quad features flexible space for art exhibitions to supplement the curriculum and be enjoyed by the community at large. The Gallery further enhances the College’s reputation as a highly-regarded venue for local and international artists.
