A Visit Is Worth 1,000 Words

We’re so convinced that your visit to campus will be worthwhile that we’re willing to pay you for coming! If you attend a Campus Preview Day or arrange a personal campus visit, and if you are admitted to Concordia, we’ll give you a $500 Campus Visit Scholarship towards tuition. (This benefit does not apply to our adult students or nursing students).

Ask any of our students what the deciding factor was for them to come to Concordia, and more often than not they’ll say it was the campus visit. Perhaps it’s the strong, almost tangible sense of community that you notice when you first step on campus. Cliché? Sure, that’s why we wouldn’t be saying it unless it was absolutely true.

During your visit to Concordia, you can do all the things you’d expect…and more, such as:

• Take the deluxe guided tour
• Experience a real college lecture (although it’s more like a conversation)
• Get some food for thought—enjoy lunch with students, staff, and faculty
• Breathe in the Bronxville air—you’ll feel like you’ve stepped inside your college vision
• Hear the choir practice (a fitting soundtrack to your visit)
• Check out an art exhibit at the OSilas Gallery
• Cheer on an NCAA Division II Concordia Clipper team (catch our school spirit)
• Learn the ins and outs of financial aid

• Bring a camera to capture things that stand out
• Write down all of your questions ahead of time and bring them
• Check out bulletin boards and event postings to get a feel for social life on campus
• Pick up a copy of the latest issue of The Compass, our daily student announcements

The More, the Merrier
Our group visits or open houses are called “Preview Days” which are another great opportunity to get the inside scoop on college life at Concordia, and to have your most burning questions answered by students, faculty, and our admission and financial aid teams. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a pre-organized preview of Concordia—with the opportunity to speak one-on-one with faculty, residence life, and admission staff. Mark your calendar for these upcoming Preview Days:

• November 15, 2008
• February 14, 2009
• March 14, 2009
• July 11, 2009

All Preview Days begin with registration at 10:00 AM and conclude with a 12:00 PM tour of our 33-acre campus. You can plan to be on the road by 1:00 PM.
