Service Opportunities

Campus Christian Ministries is an active service group on campus.  Many members from this club live in the historic residence hall, Ressmeyer, which is a meeting place for students to serve the community.

Concordia offers many outlets for students to serve their institution and the greater community.  Every year, Concordia’s student leaders come together from different clubs to plan campus-wide service events, such as Survive to Five Bingo Night for Save the Children and the Oxfam Hunger Benefit.

Clubs and organizations give back with their groups by hosting events that raise awareness and fundraise for a specific organization, such as the American Cancer Society, Heifer International, and Lutheran Disaster Relief.

Once a month, students attend Homeless Runs, where they bring sandwiches, drinks and snacks to the homeless in New York City.   Students also take service trips to the Wartburg, a local senior citizen home. Our animal-loving students volunteer at the New Rochelle Humane Society.
