Continuing a tradition dating back to 1939, Concordia College’s Tour and Chamber Choirs will be touring the Northeast early this month.
The tour will feature nine concerts (one each night), five school chapels/assemblies, four lunch concerts and a worship service. There will be a total of 19 performances over the ten-day tour.
This will be the eleventh tour the Choirs have gone on in the past seven years under Dr. Jason Thoms, Director of Choral Activities at Concordia College. Over that time period, the choirs have visited 47 states and two Canadian Provinces. In addition, they have given over 250 performances in more than 170 different Lutheran Churches and Schools.
“I am very excited about this year’s tour program which features a wide variety of sacred American choral music from Shaker songs to Hawaiian anthems to new arrangements of a praise song,” said Dr. Jason Thoms, “It will be a great concert for the whole family.”
