Composer Dr. Van Brink presents a lecture discussion on the three world premiere works performed by Concordia Conservatory chamber ensembles on the student showcase concert on Sunday, May 4 at 3:00PM. The lecture is free.

PIANO MASTER CLASS WITH JULIAN MARTIN

Julian Martin is a member of The Juilliard School piano faculty. He has presented master classes throughout the U.S. as well as in Canada, Venezuela, Columbia, Uruguay, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, England, and Spain, Germany, and Switzerland. He founded and is currently artistic director of the New Millennium International Piano Festival in Gijon, Spain.

HOCH CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES: THE ESCHER STRING QUARTET WITH LAWRENCE DUTTON, VIOLA

Formed in 2005, the Escher String Quartet has attracted the attention of numerous artists who immediately admired the young ensemble for their individual sound, bold artistic decisions and unique cohesiveness. They will be joined by Grammy award-winning violist Lawrence Dutton.

STAR SHOWCASE CONCERTS

Chamber Music ensembles of Concordia Conservatory will perform duos, trios, quartets and more with student performers from the youth and adult programs. The music repertoire includes Mozart to world premieres by composer Rami Vamos and The ASCAP Foundation award composer, Matt Van Brink . This concert is sponsored by The ASCAP Foundation and the ACMP Foundation.
