Welcome From the Director
Welcome to Concordia Conservatory! This website is an invitation to you and your child to discover the joys, challenges, and rewards of learning to play an instrument, sing, act, and move. The Conservatory is dedicated to nurturing the creativity of all students—whether pre-schoolers, beginners in music, or aspiring professionals. Our faculty is extraordinary. They are skilled educators committed to helping each student achieve and grow.
Concordia Conservatory’s philosophy and mission is to inspire, instruct and enrich lives through music for all people regardless of age, ability, ethnic origin or financial situation and to serve as a musical education resource for the southern Westchester community. Financial aid and active community outreach partnerships support access for all.
Private instruction is the core of our youth and adult program with one-on-one teaching at its highest level. In addition, we build strong relationships at the Conservatory by encouraging students to make music together. Playing in ensembles encourages students of all ages to develop musical skills and connect with others who share similar interests. The Conservatory offers a variety of ways for young people to get involved in the arts, including the holiday community musical and summer camps.
Concordia Conservatory is also an important part of the larger community. Friends and neighbors of the Conservatory have a wealth of opportunities to hear wonderful music all year long—in more than 50 concerts and recitals by students, faculty, and guest artists. Our faculty participates in our outreach programs to bring music instruction to hundreds of students from pre-school to high school.
We thank you for your interest and it is our sincere hope that you will join us as part of the Conservatory community.
