September
- Register for October and November SAT tests

- Request additional college information and applications

- Work on your academic/volunteer/work experience resume.
October
- Take the SAT I (or ACT); the SAT Code for Concordia is 2096, the ACT code for Concordia is 2722.
- SAT test dates
- Select teachers to write your recommendation letters
- Make a list of application and financial aid deadlines
- Continue visiting colleges, attending open house programs and meeting with college representatives
- Visit Concordia
November
- Take the SAT I test (Or ACT)
- SAT test dates
- Work on college applications
- Make a list of which financial aid applications are required for each college to which you are applying
- Pick up the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) from your guidance office
- Deadline for Early Action is November 15.
December
- Finish filling out college applications and mail out (Remember the application fee!)
- Make copies of everything you send out and start a file for each college to which you apply
- Encourage your parents to complete their taxes as early as possible, so they can fill out the financial aid applications by late January
- Notification for Early Action is December 1.
January
- Happy New Year!
- Complete the FAFSA and TAP (for NYS residents) financial aid forms
- Download FAFSA Concordia Code 002709.
- Keep copies of the completed applications for your records
- Apply for private scholarships
February
- Visit campus if you haven't already.
- Ask your counselor to send out mid-year school reports to the colleges to which you applied
March
- March 15 is regular application deadline.
- Keep files of the acceptance and financial aid letters you receive from the colleges to which you applied
April
- Send financial aid information (copies of Student Aid Report (SAR) and TAP paperwork to the colleges to which you applied
- Accepted Student Event!
May
- Deposit Deadline is May 1.
- Make your final decision (send in your deposit)
- Write or call to inform the other colleges of your decision to enroll elsewhere
- Send the original SAR to the college of your choice
June
- Enjoy your graduation!
Summer months
- Attend pre-orientation days at your college (try to choose the earliest dates)
- Get in touch with your roommate (if you will be living on campus) to figure out who is bringing what
- Read a book or two to keep your brain from turning to mush
- Feel free to call the college with any questions you might have; they are there to help you
- Register for Classes.
Junior Year
All Year
- Create a list of your top college choices
- Visit colleges to get a feel for the school (have a list of questions to ask)
- Attend college fairs and information sessions held at your high school to learn more about the colleges that interest you

March
- Register for the May and/or June SAT or ACT test
