You can apply using a print copy of the Common Application or submit your application online. Just remember to get going early. Regular Decision
Under the Regular Decision program, students apply for admission by the March 15/rolling application deadline. (Applications submitted after March 15 will be subject to space limitations.) Regular decisions are mailed beginning January 15 and will continue on a rolling basis until the class is filled. After receiving notice, accepted students should send their non-refundable $300 admission deposit for a May 1 deadline. Students who send deposits after May 1 will be subject to space limitations.
Admission Criteria
Admission to Concordia College is based upon a wide range of criteria, including the applicant’s overall curriculum, grades, rank in class, recommendations, test scores, personal statement, interview, and general contributions to school, church, and community.
Common Application
Concordia College-New York is proud to be a member of the Common Application. We use this as our exclusive application. Applications may be submitted online or by standard mail. Application fee is $50 for domestic students and $100 for international students.

Where is Bronxville? The Village of Bronxville, a picturesque and friendly community, offers movies, coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques all within the heart of the Village. It’s only a 12–minute walk along tree–lined streets into the Village or to the train station leading you into the energy of Manhattan (25 minutes by commuter train). A campus small enough to make your mark, yet worldly enough to carry you to your future. How many students attend Concordia College–New York? Approximately 700 students attend Concordia. How many students are in a class? The average class size is 15 – 20 students. Will my credits transfer?
What is the application deadline? Rolling for transfers. Are there Internships available? An integral part of each Individual Graduation Plan are the internships. College credit can be earned while gaining valuable experience. What better place to prepare than New York City! We have the connections if you have the initiative. Where are the professors from? Professors at Concordia are the top in their fields and are graduates of such elite institutions as Yale, Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Oxford University, and Eastman School of Music. They continue to learn through travel, study and research; to publish articles, books, musical scores and CDs; and are in demand as lecturers both here and abroad. Faculty comes to Concordia for the love and teaching and their interest in seeing students excel beyond the classroom. All courses and labs are taught by faculty, not graduate assistants.
What percentage of students receive financial aid? Ninety-five percent of Concordia students receive financial aid. Concordia’s goal is to use our endowments and institutional aid to minimize debt--making the costs of quality private education manageable. With the high level of financial support, the average debt of a Concordia grad is often less than the average debt of many state school grads. |

Financial Aid InformationConcordia College-New York provides international students with merit-based scholarships only. The merit areas are in academics, athletics or music. To qualify for an academic scholarship, a first-time college student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a combined SAT1 score of 1050(critical reading and math) and 550 TOEFL paper-based (213 computer-based and 80 internet based). A transfer Student needs 3.2 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) and a combined SAT1 score of 1050(critical reading and math) and 550 TOEFL paper-based (213 computer-based and 80 internet based). Scholarships range from $4,000 to $6,000 depending academic strengths. Applications can submit by exceptional students for consideration into Concordia's Fellows (Honors) Program, which awards a $12,000 scholarship. Athletic scholarships are available for 11 NCAA Division II sports: Men's baseball, basketball (men/women), cross-country (m/w), soccer (m/w), women's softball, tennis (m/w), and women’s volleyball. Our men's volleyball program is on hiatus. Concordia's coaching staff determines level of scholarship, up to $12,000. Music scholarships are based on an audition (in person or via audio- or videotape) with our Music Department. Scholarships are up to $8,000, which is determined by the Department. Some of our international students have been able to receive student loans (to be repaid upon program completion) with a creditworthy cosigner who is a U.S. citizen. These may be up to the remaining cost of education. |
Pre-Arrival InformationPayment Requirements Students who are admitted and paid their deposit to Concordia College – New York will receive their invoice in July. Once you receive the invoice, you are expected to pay the entire balance by the August due date indicated on the invoice. The money can be paid via wire-transfer, check (cheque), or credit card. A monthly payment plan is offered for tuition only with the approval from the Director of Student Accounts, Ceil Warren. Your room and board charge of US$4,200 cannot be included in your payment plan and needs to be paid by the August due date indicated on the invoice before arriving on campus. Where is Bronxville? Bronxville is located 32 Kilometers (25 minutes) from NYC and 315 Kilometers (3 hours 15 min) from Boston, MA. Bronxville is a 25 minute train ride from Grand Central Station in Manhattan and is a short drive from LaGuardia Airport and John F. Kennedy Airport – two of the major hubs of transportation for the East Coast. Is the College campus safe? Yes. Concordia College is located in a very wealthy and safe neighborhood. The College Campus has around the clock security. As with any American City, students should exercise common sense and make wise decisions about walking alone, off campus at night. Do you have other Interantional Students at Concordia College–New York Over 12% of the student body is comprised of students from overseas. An example of the campus diversity is evidenced in the fact that our students are from 34 different countries and 27 different states. How long does to it to learn if you have been admitted? If your application arrives in the Office of Admission complete with all of the supporting documents, a decision will be made within two weeks. Delays only happen if documents are incomplete and/or missing.
