Concordia College admits only a few outstanding students each year to the Fellows (Honors) Program. Academically, you are challenged to stretch your mind and achieve high standards while maintaining a heavy course load. Of course, the honors program has its rewards: not only do you get to investigate issues and delve more deeply into subjects, Concordia Fellows also receive a $15,000 merit-based scholarship.

Perks of Fellowship
In addition to your normal course load, as a Fellow you will:

• Channel into a special group and individualized program upon entry.
• Participate in at least four one-credit Honors Seminars during your college career, as well as a three-credit Service Learning Project.
• Be matched with a faculty mentor, with whom you’ll develop a close personal and professional relationship. Fellows and mentors work together on a two- or three-credit professional project designed to augment graduate school applications in the senior year.
• Be allowed to take up to 21 credits per semester without an overload fee.
• Have the option to live in Ressmeyer Hall (the "Fellows and Dean's List" house) after your freshman year.

What Concordia Fellows Do:

• Make Dean’s List every semester.
• Display their talents on independent projects or articles in Prelude, the annual Fellows journal, like a recent piece on how television shapes politics.
• Learn in seminar-style classes where what they say matters.
• Study with mentors who guide, challenge, and inspire.
• Give something back through service projects, like visiting residents at an adult care facility.
• Use Manhattan as a classroom, sampling ethnic foods, exhibits at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or off-Broadway satires.
• Become high-achieving people who make a difference.

Application Requirements
New students, as well as current freshmen and sophomores, may apply to the Fellows Committee for admission to the program. First-year students should rank in the top 10% of their high school class and show an SAT score (all three parts) of 1800 or above. Transfer students must present a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above.
