Concordia’s program in Business Administration offers the most important component of any business program—reality. Our students are involved in project management for the Business Club and internships in nearby New York City, the financial center of the world. Concordia students learn to translate theories and knowledge from their classes into informed decision-making. Before entering the business arena, they are involved in courses that address both the people and the practical sides of business.
Core classes cover management, marketing, economics, law, finance, accounting, and statistics. Students also learn to prepare for the changing global environment with a solid liberal arts base and a cross-cultural appreciation for other nations and traditions. Above all, Concordia produces principled business professionals that build successful careers while being socially and ethically responsible. Business administration is a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree.
Program Specialization: International Management
This program was developed in consultation with business leaders with a global perspective and emphasizes the critical thinking and communications skills necessary to succeed in the global environment. The four-year program is structured around three disciplines: business, modern languages, and international studies. English as a Second Language is also offered and internships in nearby Manhattan are part of the degree. Concordia’s proximity to hundreds of international corporate headquarters, our strong academic tradition, and respected business and language programs all combine to prepare students to meet the future management needs of global employers.
Program Specialization: Accounting
Students that perform well in the required accounting courses have the opportunity to pursue a specialized course of study in Accounting, the “grammar” of business. This can provide a depth of knowledge in the discipline that will serve students well as they progress in their managerial careers. Classes include Intermediate Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting II, Cost Accounting, Auditing, plus Financial Analysis and Planning.
Concordia College partners with Pace University's Lubin School of Business to offer students a fast track to earning their Master's degree in Accounting. Concordia graduates are able to earn an MBA in Accounting/CBA preparation. Depending on the student's grades and credits earned, this program could be completed in as few as 32 credits (normally 51)
