Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a way for students, faculty and staff of Concordia to access materials that can't be found in Concordia's library.  The book or journal article is found at another library and is delivered here at no cost to you. Usually audio-visual materials are not available on ILL. Please plan ahead as it often takes 2-3 weeks for the item to come in.

Interlibrary Loan Form - email form to request a book or an article not found at Concordia's library.

Contact Person - Sue Pfeister, x2205

Privledges at WALDO libraries - Concordia's library belongs to the Westchester Academic Library Directors Association (WALDO).  Our membership entitles faculty to visit and borrow from other member libraries.  Please contact our Library Director for more information (x2210).

Request for Purchase

The library strives to provide materials that support the courses taught at Concordia.  We encourage faculty to recommend library resources for purchase.  Although the library cannot purchase every item recommended, we will make every effort to obtain priority items.  Faculty will be notified when ordered materials have been received.

Choice Cards - Eleven times per year book review cards from Choice are distributed to the appropriate department heads and faculty.  Choice reviews books, databases and websites on all academic subjects. Note that each review carries information on appropriate level or audience.  Not all items reviewed by Choice are recommended. (This will be stated at the end of the review.)

  • Please return to the library only those cards you recommend for purchase.
  • Initial each card with recommended purchase.
  • Note if it is an essential purchase.

Request for Purchase Form - Faculty may bring in requests for purchase in person or email the online form.
