HISTORICAL NOTE

Concordia Gymnasium This information is a collection of a variety of papers ranging from original handwritten correspondence to old invoices to printed material. It was gathered from boxes donated to the archive by various sources.

The early years ranging from 1906 to 1930 include correspondence from faculty, call papers, bids on the construction of various buildings on campus as well as bills of historical value.

The later years mainly includes printed material of Concordia College, i.e. admission pamphlets, results of studies etc., but very little correspondence. This collection may never be complete since material will be added to it as located at a later date.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

Each folder is arranged in chronological order either by publication date or date of the correspondence and/or study; i.e all material dated in 1931 are in the folder of 1931. If there was a certain important event in this specific year, it might be listed in the remarks column of the Folder List. In case specific materials cannot be found in this collection the researcher is advised to check the subject files of the following collections:

The above mentioned holdings were arranged previously to organize the Concordia College History Collection (by the former archivist Rev. Kurt Bodling) and some material might be found in all three collections.
